Man Utd v AFC Bournemouth live: score, updates and line-ups

Full time at Old Trafford: Bournemouth put three past United without reply to claim a thoroughly deserved win. Rayan and Marcus Tavernier struck either side of half-time before Evanilson's brilliant angled finish made it 3-0, and that proved enough even as United enjoyed the lion's share of possession and a late flurry of efforts, including Mount's stoppage-time shot saved by Petrovic. United finish with a goalless scoreline despite 16 shots, undone by clinical finishing at the other end.

Deep into stoppage time and United have kept probing for a consolation, with Santos, Lacey and Yoro all seeing efforts blocked from a flurry of late corners. Bournemouth have used their last changes to see things out, bringing on Adli, Kroupi and Diakité, and look set to hold firm for a comfortable 3-0 win at Old Trafford.

United have pushed for a way back but without much reward - Cunha saw a header blocked from close range and Mount fired over from a corner, while late subs Zirkzee and Lacey have come on in search of fresh impetus. Bournemouth remain content to sit on their 3-0 lead, continuing to pick up fouls as the clock runs down with the result looking well beyond doubt.

Evanilson makes it 3-0 with a superb long-range effort from a tight angle on the right, set up by Lewis Cook, and this is now turning into a rout. United have thrown on Zirkzee for Baleba moments later in search of any kind of response.

United have shown a bit more urgency, with Cunha and Mbeumo both sending efforts off target as they push for a way back into it, while both sides have made changes with Gannon-Doak and Martínez coming on. But Bournemouth still carry the greater threat on the counter, with Rayan again going close, and the shot and corner counts keep stretching further in the visitors' favour as the 0-2 scoreline holds firm.

Bournemouth continue to carry the greater threat after the break, with Lammens forced into a save from Rayan and Evanilson firing over soon after. United still enjoy more of the ball but their possession remains sterile, with shots and corners heavily in the visitors' favour as the 0-2 scoreline looks comfortable for Bournemouth.

A quiet start to the second half so far, with the only change being Cunha's introduction for Tielemans at the break and Evanilson flagged offside shortly after the restart. The underlying picture remains unchanged from half-time - Bournemouth still hold the clear advantage in shots and corners, while United's extra possession has yet to translate into any real threat on Petrovic's goal.

Two goals in five minutes for Bournemouth! Tavernier adds a second, finishing well from the centre of the box after Truffert's assist, and United look shell-shocked heading towards the break down 0-2 despite their earlier spell of possession.

Bournemouth get the breakthrough their dominance deserved. Rayan curls home left-footed from the edge of the box after Kluivert's cross from a set piece, and the visitors lead 1-0 despite United holding more possession.

Bournemouth remain the sharper side despite United's territorial edge, extending their corner count to 4-0 and adding another shot through Evanilson's header, which drifted off target. Santos and Adams picked up bookings for fouls either side of that spell, and while United keep the ball well, they still haven't managed a shot of their own at Old Trafford.

A scrappier spell than the opening ten, with a string of free-kicks breaking up the rhythm at both ends. Bournemouth still lead the shot count 3-0 without adding to it, while United continue to enjoy the lion's share of possession but still haven't tested Petrovic. It's a stalemate for now, with neither side able to build sustained pressure.

Bournemouth have started the brighter of the two sides, forcing three corners inside the opening ten minutes without truly testing Lammens. Rayan and Evanilson have both had sniffs from headers and a blocked effort, with Dalot and Maguire among those having to deal with the visitors' set-piece pressure. United hold more of the ball but are yet to register a shot themselves.
