Man Utd Lunchtime Round-Up, Saturday 7th November 2026: JJ Gabriel Breaks Silence Amid Real Madrid Links as Conte Speculation Addressed
There's plenty to digest on the Gabriel situation this lunchtime. The Manchester Evening News reports that United look set to lose the 16-year-old, who has now spoken out two months after leaving the club, taking something of a swipe at United in the process (Manchester Evening News). Meanwhile BBC Sport carry quotes from the youngster himself, who says his "dream is to win the Ballon d'Or" as he edges closer to a move to Real Madrid (BBC Sport).
On the managerial front, the Manchester Evening News say United have been handed a concerning update regarding Antonio Conte, who is currently out of work and has been linked with the club, though Michael Carrick is reported to have laughed off the suggestion (Manchester Evening News). The same outlet also runs through the bigger picture around Carrick, covering Lacey's role in the side, potential January transfer business and how Yoro has been getting on, all against the backdrop of this week's dramatic win over Roma (Manchester Evening News).
